    Hello! Thank you for these podcasts – the dedication to the craft is so appreciated. I enjoyed this episode very much. I have two tips:
    Re pins and wet blocking: T-pins should be rust proof. Rust stains can occur in a relatively time (8-14 hours) and are permanent on the fabric.

    Re swatching for size: don’t wait until you’re ready and excited to start a project to make your swatch. Make/block the swatch ahead of time (car trip or while watching tv) and place it in the bag with the other items to be ready when you start.

    thank you! for all your tips and wisdom! love listening to the podcasts.

    I just finished a one skein shawl, but would like it to be a bit larger… was considering blocking it. Do you think that would work? I would prefer to keep it to one skein, and not add more yarn to it. 🙂

      Hi Becca! It depends what fiber your shawl is made of, but if it’s plant or animal based, blocking can definitely help open it up!
