Submission Call: Three Winter Themes
WeCrochet call for submissions

Submission Themes

We are looking for fun crochet designs for our Winter Collections!

WeCrochet is looking for a variety of crochet designs for publication on our crochet-centric website. We have provided mood boards of inspirational images and yarns to use, as well as specific designs we are looking for.

This call is for crochet designs only.

Brief Description

Get your hooks ready, we are looking for new crochet patterns for our winter release. We are looking for patterns for three themes.

2 Ball Cowls & Infinity Scarves:

As the fall season starts we begin to think about gift making. Cowls and Infinity Scarves are the perfect solution to most of your gifting needs. Not only are they quick projects to make but they also require no knowledge of sizing for the recipient.

12 Days of Dishcloths/Facecloths:

Get out your Dishie and whip up some dishcloths or facecloths. Not only are they perfect for your own kitchen and bathroom but make great gifts and basket stuffers for the holiday season. We are looking for 12 brand new dishcloth/facecloth patterns to be featured in our special event. We will have 12 days of new dishcloth/facecloth patterns, with a new one released each day.

12 Weeks of Gifting:

The 12 Weeks of Gifting tradition continues! Starting at the end of September and running into December we launch a brand new pattern each week in our 12 Weeks of gifting series. This year we are planning this collection around a Spa at Home theme.

WeCrochet reserves the right to change pattern names and requested yarn from the designer to fit our collection.

Submission Requirements

NOTE: there is a new process for submissions, see below for more information.

NEW Designers: Want to learn more about the submission process? Check out our new class “Get Published” with Tian Connaughton.

About Our Yarn

One-page submission, complete with:

  • Detailed pattern information
  • Suggest yarn
  • Sketch of the design
  • Sizes included
  • Designer bio/contact information
  • If the pattern has a stitch pattern other than solid colored single or double crochet, please include a photograph of a swatch of the stitch pattern on the one-page submission

While swatches do not need to be in suggested yarn, we do suggest a solid, neutral color similar to the intended finished project so we can get a better feel for your pattern.

Include all relevant information on one page. Due to high volume, submissions not in this format may not be accepted.

Patterns cannot have been already published elsewhere. Please do not submit completed patterns. Our intended projects and themes are shown on the inspiration boards. Please keep these in mind when putting together your submission.

Send To

Send your submission via this Google Form. Please keep your file size to under 5MB (there are several free websites to reduce file sizes if needed) as anything larger will bounce. https://forms.gle/87CRU9ALJHwQU93Z9

Patterns will be exclusive to the Knit Picks and WeCrochet websites. Designers are welcome to submit more than one pattern idea but each submission must be a separate document. Payments will be made electronically.

Submissions will be accepted through May 1, 2022; designers will be notified of final decisions by May 5, 2022 at the latest. Finished patterns will be due by June 9, 2022. Any other questions may be directed to submissions@wecrochet.com.
