We’re featuring a new free pattern every Tuesday for 12 weeks. This week’s free crochet pattern is the Mountain Meadows Cowl and Mitts.
We are celebrating the launch of WeCrochet and the perfect season for making handmade gifts with our 12 Weeks of Gifting campaign! Every week for 12 weeks leading up to mid-December we will be giving away a free pattern for you to make as a gift for the holidays. Each week, the project will get a bit smaller so that you’ll have time to finish it for gift-giving!
12 Weeks of Gifting will include patterns for afghans, bags, cowls, headbands in more. Be sure to check back each week to see the newest pattern we’re giving away and check out the larger patterns we’ve already released! We know you and your loved ones will adore these projects this giving season.
12 Weeks of Gifting—Week 8:
Mountain Meadows Cowl and Mitts
This week’s free pattern is the Mountain Meadows Cowl and Mitts Set designed by Jen Dwyer. This playful cowl and mitts set features cream-colored stripes with various neutral brown colors. The project is made in Palette yarn, with over 150 color options! This set is meant for customizing in your loved one’s favorite colors. With that many color choices, picking out the colors is almost as fun as making the project.
The cowl for this project is worked in the round with colors carried up along the inside join. The mitts are worked flat in rows with lovely ribbing along the bottom and seamed to create the closure and thumb hole. And you’ll love the warmth from the Peruvian Highland Wool!
